Their defence has conceded 2x as many goals as us in their last 8 premier league games.

They've not kept a clean sheet for 7 games and we've kept 4 in that time.

They have just as much to fear as we do over the defence.

With just the small matter of the unfavourable refereeing decisions against us this season we would be a whole lot closer to them in terms of points (6 points closer on the game against them at our place alone).

Exactly, if Luiz gets sent off or we get the blatant penalty on Gundogan, it's 5 points gap not 11.

I personally think Chelsea have been coasting since the end of their streak and it's a travesty that we've not caught them up. In their last 10 games starting from the loss to spurs, they've got 22 points we've got 19 points. So the difference between the teams is not that great, they've just not had the disastrous individual errors from a backline that knows it's being replaced in 3 months.

its bad enough the media banging on about our defence without our own "fans" jumping on the band wagon , only THREE teams have conceded less than us in the premier league , and we have conceded only one goal in our FA Cup run. We are not the best defensively but certainly not as bad as some f*ckers on here and in the media are trying to make out.
