I know it seems too much like a fairytale for Kompany to come in, have a blinder, keep Costa in his back pocket like he has before, score a header, clear one off the line and roar instructions and inspiring words to give us a 1-0 win. But please let Kompany play just to see if he's still capable of being the leader he was.

Where is respect lacking? The man's a colossus and a model pro.

Terminating his contract if he is not going to be in our long term plans (and i dont see that he can be) would be hugely respectful after all he has done for us.

I'm offering my honest opinion and a preduction based on recent past.

I would be thrilled to be wrong.

Agreed.

I hope, after some form of sabbatical,Vincent can return to the club In a meaningful Ambasadorial role mentoring all levels of the playing staff.

He gets City,Manchester & us fans. He also loathes the vile imposters from Stretford

Best I can see is a draw. We work our balls off get 20 chances and score 2 goals then let 2 or 3 cheap ones in on the counter or from set pieces. That's the story of the season.
More or less the way I see it. We will make chances against a very decent defence I am sure but we are not ruthless enough in front of goal. We are way too flaky at the back against decent teams and I think they will punish us on the break. I'm going for either 2-1 or 3-1 to Chelsea but with the caveat that on our day if we play with the right pressing and intensity for the majority of the game, I genuinely think we can beat anyone. We don't do that anywhere near often enough though IMO.

As a caveat to that we are only second to tonight's opppnents in away pts this year - we are extremely effective on the road, more so than at home where we sit a shocking 9th......

Indeed, our home form has been really poor. Without wanting to sound like phil neville, just think where we'd be if we could have converted those shitty home draws into the wins they should have been. I am sure Chelsea will play it like an away match tonight, Conte is too clever to go toe to toe with us. We just need to press their defence to death and force mistakes and then take our chances. Almost no point worrying about the other end, we know they will cause us huge problems when they counter attack us, it is absolutely inevitable.

As you state. I think the games narrative will play out very similar to the home game, the difference (surprisingly) our conversion rate has gone up since then... it's win win for us as if we manage to put away any chance created 'then Chelsea will most certainly come at us, this is when we're at our best (attacking), the problem is we have ray and stevie as centre backs (: ...

I'm going for a thrilling 4-3 to city!

Costa exposed everything that was wrong with our deffence at home. It will be interesting to see who Pep picks. Stones and Clichy I would think based on form of Stones and Clichy has the pace for the counter attack threat. Ottamendi was done over by Costa last time - does he get another chance? Right Back - does Zab have the legs for it? Navas could be good against Hazzard as he has the pace to track him all over the field.

We haven't really played poorly in the bigger games this year but I have zero faith in our ability to actually win one at the moment.

Chelsea haven't lost back to back in the league this year? Home banker for me tonight, I'm afraid.

Its the age old thing with City-which one will turn up-if Pep had hair he would be pulling it out in tufts and his head would look like a chimps arse.I wouldn't play Yaya again for the club now-his heads gone ever since the latest contract bullshit talk from his agent-Dave and Fern in there with Kev further forward. Back four of Zabba, Stones, Otimendi and Kolorov.

Who knows how it will pan out !
