Marin is nothing special, he'll be a bench player. Inconsistent and lightweight.

Marin has actually been Chelsea's best player in pre-season so far.

He's quick, direct and can beat a man. Miles ahead of Malouda.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him start a lot of games for them next season.

Pretty sure AJ would look like Tranny against an MLS defence.

I agree pre-season is not a parameter but atleast he looks good there , i can confirm that marin is a good player for £8m , and people sometimes play even better in league than they play in pre season

AJ looks like downing so far in pre season, and we have faced teams worse than those at MLS

..and AJ failed to impress against teams that are even worse.. and by the way, PSG are a lot stronger than any MLS side.

IMO Di Matteo won't last long...he rode his luck in the Champions League, and didn't improve them in the league...yes he was focusing on the CL, but they won't do it again. Cups are completely different the PL we all know that.

He is still the man who got sacked by West Brom...

I like him as a person, but for some reason I just have that feeling he won't last very long..

Perfectly put mate and echoes exactly what I have been saying. I was chuffed to be honest that they won the Chumps League. I will always support an English club in Europe (well nearly all...). But they played without pressure as they were never expected to do anything. They won't be able to play in the same manner for 38 games next year.

  • When it goes a bit Pete Tong, is RDM the man to sort it out? As you say, he was the man sacked by West Brom.
Can RDM control the dressing room?
Can RDM control and keep all these big names and egos happy and together?

Nice bloke, but he isn't up to the job for me.

People will say that Bob was under the same pressue, but he'd already had the pressure and more at Inter and still won trophies, so it isn't the same.

I firmly believe that Guardiola will be in place before the season end. RDM is just the bridge until Pep is fit and ready.

Chelsea team v Brighton: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Essien, Ramires, Meireles, Lampard, Hazard, Torres.

This team just lost 3-1 to Brighton

They are having a bad preseason so far- 1 win, 1 draw, 3 losses - 8 goals scored, 10 goals conceded.

There was an heated exchange between Ivanovic and Cole near the end of the game according to Chelsea's Offical Website. Still I am not reading too much in that.

I really hope we destroy them in the Community Shield. Call me sad but I really want that shield, it could possibly give us a good start in the league.

I felt sick when Nani got that goal late at Wembley last year.

Serious? When I saw that lot celebrating like they'd just won the Champions League final... in a fucking glorified pre season friendly - I knew they were scared of us.
