Chelsea thread 2012/2013 season

People forget how bad Torres has been. I've watched quite a few of their games and their fans aren't wrong when they say it's been like playing with 10 men. They've not had a proper striker all season which does make a huge difference. It's all well and good having a good midfield but you need good strikers to score the goals. Imagine if United only had one recognised striker, say Welbeck, and he'd been dogshit all season. There's no way in hell they'd be top, they'd be way off the pace like Chelsea are. If they'd had a world class striker all season, a rvp/aguero type, it's not unfeasible to say that they'd be top right now. A good team needs a good striker that will nick you a goal when you aren't playing well. Chelsea simply haven't had that.
 
Torres is mirroring Shevchenko's time at Chelsea. Both players were Roman Abramovich's personal signings and both struggled to fit in at Chelsea.
 
Exactly. Torres has severely limited Chelsea's potential. If they play Ba regularly they could be the best team in the country.

Torres has been the one weakness and glaring weakness at that since they signed him. Was amazed they spent so much in the Summer but did not buy a striker. Has cost them the title

Shevchenko at least tried and he scored some important goals especially in the cups. He was a complete flop in the league though. Torres has been an unmitigated disaster and I can only hope that Roman has finally learned his lesson.
 
And so it starts again - The Guardian are now saying that Klopp, Laudrup, Mourinho and Simeone are favourites for the chelsea managers job

Expect the bloody paps to throw our name in as well somewhere along the line
 
Another good result for City today Chelsea drawing 2-2 with Southampton.Not very good at home Chelsea good news for Manchester City!!!!!
