Hard to argue!
So very true and probably a well timed dig at another manager. I think they will get through tonight.

I find their fans much more tolerable than the arse, the rags and this season, the dippers.

I remember after the fa cup semi you had to walk through their fans to get to the coaches and there wasn't an ounce of menace or anything other than politeness to them, decent set of fans really.

This, so much. I don't understand the general warm feeling Chelsea seems to elicit on this forum. Is it because they've followed a similar business model to City? That doesn't seem a strong enough reason. I don't City fans should field any affinity towards Chelsea. You are a decent, respectable club, whereas they are a shower of sewage mixed with toxic waste. Chelsea defended very well at Anfield, but on top of that they rolled around on the floor, they play-acted, they kicked the ball away- now I understand there must be a degree of time-wasting in such situations and any team would engage in it to some extent, but that degree of cynicism was just disgusting to watch. You can hold on to a narrow lead and defend resolutely without resorting to such dismal antics. Especially when you have one of the most expensively assembled squads in the world.

I find Chelsea an utterly despicable and repulsive club. This has nothing to do with 'parking the bus' or playing negative football. I don't believe there's any one 'right' way of playing the game, every manager and every club must find their own way. I'll admit that my loathing for them stems largely from our failure to beat them in the recent past, but I'd like to point out that this is a club who's players nonchalantly punch fellow professionals in the face (Ramires) as well as threaten and execute violence against ballboys (Mourinho and Hazard respectively). Not to mention that they are captained by John Terry. Only Spurs and United do I hate more.

EDIT: And also they are managed by Mourinho, who for all his success is a vile human-being.

Perhaps you're looking at it the wrong way round. I'm only guessing, but I would have thought that its not so much that City fans have come to like Chelsea but to (to some degree) dislike some of the others.

I had absolutely nothing against anybody really a few years back. There had been a bit of a north/south thing when I was young but I grew up. Obviously I didn't wish United well. Other than that, I could sometimes take exception to some clubs fans if they seemed out of order, but nothing really serious.

Then we got a rich owner. Its fair to say that the average fan of other top clubs (and some not so top ones) have acted like arseholes since then. They may have had help from the media and owners, but that doesn't make it better. Chelsea fans, on the other hand, had not only been through some of that, but also would be hypocrites if they took exception.

So, its not so much that Chelsea have become liked, its more that they have done little to become disliked. Although, Maureen seems to be trying to make up for lost time!

i hope for a chelsea win tonight just as a big thanks for opening the title up again, infact i can do better than that i hope they go on and win it

Why not? It'll be nice to shut up the La Liga/Bundesliga arse lickers, keeps the PL Co-efficient high.
Unfortunately it also keeps that annoying little Portuguese talking gnome in a job.

When Chelsea won it the other year I was hoping they would, however I feel that may have been influential in them getting hazrard so regretted it after he signed for them. Could them winning it again perhaps make them more favourable to potential signings this summer?

Common sense and one in the stones for Pep.

I fully expect Chelsea to win tonight - would be surprised if they didn't. Their record in the big games this season has been very good. They've had an easy run so far - I think PSG were miles below parr in the 2nd leg and allowed Chelsea to get back in the tie. I can't see anything other than a defensive display and the eventual grinding down of Atletico from set pieces. As with Liverpool I am unwilling to give Atletico that much credit as of yet. They are a good side, but I still don't think they are as good as people seem to be saying they are. That might just be my take on things though. I expected a Real v Chelsea final when I saw the draw and I think it will be that way - Real will win it though.

Mourinho has the luxury of playing 'more attacking' like he did against City in the league or being patient like against PSG. The striker he plays tells us what he is thinking. If he wants to be very defensive today then Ba/Torres will start if he is relatively going for it then Etoo will start (if they are no injuries).
