This is for Castiel;

I have seen very little of Schurrle and Van Ginkel. how good are they and how often do you expect them to feature?

Schurrle reminds me a lot of Malouda in style. He's competent defensively, very athletic, fast and has a good shot on him. It's hard to say how well he'll do but he clearly offers something different to his competition in that position. People I've spoken to who follow German football claim he was instrumental to Leverkusen's attack so we'll see if his skills translate well here.

I have high hopes for Van Ginkel and he's been pretty impressive so far. No doubt solves a lot of our CM issues, and I think he'll quickly become a regular there unless he does a Marin (great in pre-season, shite when it matters). Only complaint about him so far is he seems bit out of tune with his team mates (like he predicts a run that wasn't on), but that's something you work into.

It's really difficult to say without watching them in competitive matches, with tactical plans and in our strongest lineup. But I look forward to seeing how our returning and new players change us.

Our 19 year old Brazilian rightback Wallace has completed his loan to Inter Milan. He was very impressive during our preseason tour of Asia, and will hopefully get plenty of games at Inter this season especially considering Zanetti is ancient and has had recent injury problems.

It just shows how shite Inter are now. Loaning youngsters in. Loaning Essien or Pizzarro for half a seasons ok but loaning a youngster in's small time.

They've had quite a dramatic fall from grace. They went from being one of the best sides in the world under Mourinho to mid table in Italy in the space of a year. I'm sure they'll recover eventually though, as Juve did.

Castiel,

Are you happy with your forward line and with Mourinho's comment that Rooney is your only transfer target?

Rooney transfer to CFC is not going to happen, surely CFC have to move on to another target?

We're apparently involved with talks with Eto'o on a one year deal involving a tiny transfer fee (possibly none at all), if he's willing to reduce his wages which reports claim he is. He was quoted as saying he'd love to work with Mourinho again and said other general transfer engineering comments. Mourinho tried to get him here during his first time around but Barca refused to sell and he did work with him at Inter.

I wouldn't be against having him on for a year or two while Lukaku cuts his teeth. That's essentially what we need. Somebody to rely upon this season while Lukaku gains experience. A 27 year old in their prime wouldn't have been ideal for us. Despite his age, Eto'o is a ridiculous athlete and wouldn't represent much of a risk with Anzi desperate to offload.

The only concern would be whether he's the same player now as the one in that Inter side. I haven't seen him play at all in Russia so idk.

Didn't he say really really mean things about Chelsea when he was at Barcelona?
Something like paying high wages, playing crap football, ruining the game etc etc.

Will he get the Benitez treatment from the Stamford Bridge faithful if he is bought?

He and most of the Barca team did when we knocked them out in 2005 in a 4-2 thriller. It was the beginning of our little rivalry with Barca. I don't really care because they have slagged us off a lot since. He's just a sore loser.

I haven't watched him in Russia either but we don't need him to be what he was in his prime. We just need him to be a big game player for a season or two. Essentially what Drogba was doing in his last season for us. He's disappeared off the radar since going to Russia but if Mourinho thinks he can bridge that gap then I'd be happy to take him. He made a similar call for Madrid when he brought Carvalho over and it worked out for them.
