He since retracted those statements and claimed that the media twisted what he actually said, in 2007 way before he might have been obligated to pay us lip service. He hit out personally at Mourinho after that game and now he's one of his greatest supporters (and one of his biggest assets at Inter). If Rafa had apologised or tried to explain himself his time here wouldn't have been so bad.

Indeed, well you would do wouldn't you...if you'd just signed. If he's another Shevchenko I'm sure you can put him to work selling nuts in the ground.

Like I said he retracted his statements years before signing for us. The "nut selling" quote was actually determined to be completely made up. The most controversial thing about Eto'o was that he claimed to be racially abused by a steward at our ground. The steward was cleared and nothing more became of it.

True

Chelsea wont be playing Man Utd and Bayern Munich every week, and Eto'o may give them a lot of extra attacking potential.

If Chelsea had attacked Utd and Bayern, they'd have probably got heavily beaten. Nothing wrong with being pragmatic.
I think we should have been a bit more positive against United, but we were away. Bayern raped Barcelona 7-0 in an open game last year. Jose got his tactics spot on and we were seconds away from beating the treble winning European Champions. Still undefeated though!

You think Eto'o will be a hit then Castiel?

Saw him for Anji at Anfield last year and he was appalling, was really disappointed as it's a player I've wanted to see for years.
I don't know but this is a guy who has said he'd "die" for Mourinho. I think he'd have found it hard to be motivated for Anzhi in the Europa league after leading the line for teams like Barca and Inter Milan (when they were the best around). He went to Russia to make some money not play football. If anyone can motivate him, it's Jose. Everton will be able to tell us what he's got to offer in a couple of weeks. Either way he's only here for a year and he can't possibly do worse than Torres and Ba.

Courtois with another outrageous save. Quickly making a claim to being the best GK in the world. He actually made two ridiculous saves in this match but I can't find a clip of the second.

You know its a good save when the striker gives the keeper praise :).

I'm not that impressed by Chelsea's business. They didn't address their weak spots imo. Loaning Lukaku out was a poor decision imo.
