Mourinho was Very unwise to claim that Rooney was their own transfer target. Can he really mean that? Surely that's just his mouth running away with itself.

Great post, I have to agree. While they have a great backline and possibly one of the best midfield in the league I'm not sure of ba and torres. I'd take them at spurs but they are not powerhouses like Drogba. Maybe lukaku will play a part this year.

Maybe Jose thinks he can get the best out of Rooney, hes still young afterall. He shows brilliance one season and not much the next, I cannot work him out. It could be not enough shredded wheat, only on his head
 
I see their game with Villa has been brought forward to the 21st August.

I think I read a report somewhere saying that if they beat united on the Monday night they could go 6 pts clear..
