Playing exactly like they used to before Jose left.

Worrying.

Nah ... they're fast becoming a one man team with Hazard. Not convinced that he's going to be able to keep his current form up all season in all competitions.

Interesting that Chelsea are said to have done a deal for Matic. That would definitely strengthen them and give them more steel. Still not convinced they've got the goals in them to win anything this season.
You don't watch Chelsea if you think they're a one man team.

Plus if they win the league by two points it won't matter if they've scored 20 less than us.

They're the team who will finish in the top two with us, I can't call in what order that may be though.

My post wasn't meant as we're better than you. nah nah nah. Just saying I think you'll be tested more than ever before and
Supercrystal I understand the basics of defending as a team unit thank you very much. What I was saying is, no matter we WILL
get at their defensive unit.
I did not mean to sound patronising, but I have heard the argument that if Kompany is the best defender in the league then why do City concede so much way too much. Was also pointing out that City did not create as much as usual against teams that pressed from the front. Should be a great game and a possible title decider.

Yeh I agree Castiel Cech better than any City keeper, but despite Dave and Ivanovic being good right backs Zabaleta still better. If Ivanovic is still injured then Kolarov on current form probably better than Cole too. It's by far the hardest game Chelsea have left and as you said a draw would be a brilliant result.

Well you did and if you are replying to my posts why bring up something which is not in it. I never mentioned anything about Kompany.
Don't put words in my mouth. Everyone can read what I posted apart from you. Any way I didn't see Chelsea doing much pressing
against Hull.
Well obviously a City fan was not making comments about Kompany. I addressed your post, because we were talking about Chelsea coping with the City attack. There is also more than one way to defend as a team. Palace defended as a team against City, but with every one back sitting deep. I was making the point that Chelsea's front 4 like to press and that's the exact kind of tactic that has caused City trouble and stopped City being able to attack like usual.

You're right. Will be an interesting comparison of the two different styles. It just shows the old adage. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
Indeed. You are still my personal favourites because I think your squad is still better. I don't think the gap is as big as it was last season, or the season before, but I still think we need to improve some key areas before I can say our squads are equally good on paper. Your strikers and central midfield is substantially better at the moment, and hopefully Matic goes some way towards addressing that and we'll see about strikers in the summer. But Mourinho's system is really starting to kick in now, and that makes us a threat. If we had any other manager I'd expect 2nd or 3rd and a cup run until those areas were strengthened. It will be an interesting run-in, and lets not forget about Arsenal.
I think we've got a better starting XI, and I think I you've got a better and deeper squad. I watch your strikers (supposedly the weakest part of your squad) but they still work their bollocks off for the team. The amount of work Torres puts in for little goals is amazing, you don't get that from many players. There's a striker in our squad who, when he's not scoring, doesn't display that level of work and determination.

You've got about three or four players out on loan who'd get straight onto our bench.

But as I say, I reckon we've got a better strongest first XI.

I really do worry about injuries to some of those first XI players though. Looks like Nasri may be out for the season and if we have to have any spells from suspension or injury from Silva and we have NO players in the rest of the entire squad like those two players. Navas and Milner are entirely different players and we would have to completely change the way we play.

We're the best two though teams and I reckon we will finish 1st and 2nd.

Yep that's what I mean about Mourinho's system. The work rate he gets out of his teams is incredible. Even though our strikers are shite compared to yours, they work their bollocks off. The winner Torres scored against you was from blind luck and a horrific blunder, but it was only possible because Torres charged down that lost cause in the last minute of the game with every drop of energy he had left. Under any other manager Torres wouldn't have even been there. So while I do think our squad (or perhaps as you say our best 11) is weaker than yours, Mourinho knows how to get the maximum out of what he has every week and that is worth a lot.

I understand what you mean about injury concerns. I haven't heard about Nasri or Yaya's news, but if someone like Yaya was out for a while you could be in trouble. You've had enough problems early on with Kompany. We get stick for loaning out Lukaku, but I'm amazed you let Barry go all things considered. Your second choice CM's are substantially weaker than Yaya+Fernandinho to the point of concern and Barry was vital to your team under Mancini. Unlike most rival fans I did appreciate the thankless task he did for you, and I thought he did it very well and was woefully underrated by most as he is now showing with Everton.

It's going to be a close one and titles are usually decided by fine margins. At least you're the preferable side of Manchester who I actually respect and wouldn't begrudge a victory!

Yes a pact. One of us has to win it at all costs. Can you imagine the smugness if the Goons beat both us sugar daddy clubs to the title? I feel ill just thinking about it.

Please beat utd! or draw...either way, don't lose.

The smugness of the goons does not bare thinking about.

Matic and Ramires midfield two rivals our CM IMO. Maybe not AS good but potential to be a tremendous pairing. with all of the teams around them still to go to the Bridge (beside us), I have them favourites, just.

Vital that we take 3 points from them in a couple of weeks. Another reason why I'll be cheering the rags on next week. 90 points will win the title imo we've got to get the full 27 remaining at home.

De Bruyne business seems great, they bought him for like 7-8m, like we did with Sinclair, he cant get into their team not even on the bench and now they are selling him to wolfsburg for around 17m pounds.

We will be lucky if someone comes and gives 3m for Sinclair.
