Yes I was surprised too. He's only been back since Monday. He played around 40 minutes and looked in good shape. Set up the second goal with a free kick. Keeper saved it and Ivanovich scored on the rebound. I really like him and I think he's going to cement that spot on our right wing this season. I much prefer him there over Willian, he's very direct and works just as hard.jared said:Schurrle already playing in friendlies? That is pretty quick. Beat Hungarian side Ferencvaros 2-1 in our latest preseason match. Jose played mostly fringe players in the first half, and with the exception of Schurrle, we looked lackluster. Second half most first teamers came on and we looked brilliant. Fabregas and Ramires with the goals, both were exceptional, but we should have had 4 or 5. On the down side Drogba looks to have sustained a serious injury and may be out for six months. I'm hoping this forces Mourinho to go for another striker, even if he was going to gamble it before.

Real Sociedad on Tuesday before the season starts for us. I suspect he'll be picking close to the starting 11 for Burnley for that.

No Costa certainly will be, he looks brilliant and seems to be a perfect fit for us (though he's been in 3 confrontations in 3 games so far). Drogba looks his age but he's still been more useful than Torres. Costa is such a nice chap, he managed to confront with a defender and trying to elbow him even in a friendly game. Feel sorry for Drogba though, hope it's nothing serious.
