Correct of course but do you think we would have won it if Liverpool had beaten Chelsea?
I doubt we would have but just my opinion.The result gave us a big lift ahead of Palace which we took.

All correct but back to the original point he didn't set out to do us any favours, it was just fate.

Seem to remember them having a bunch of players injured for the Liverpool game. Their line up for the Atletico second leg (game after) contained Schwarzer in net, Luiz and Azpilicueta in midfield and van Ginkel and Kalas on the bench.

Cech went off injured in the first leg against Atletico. Mikel and Lampard got themselves suspended for the second leg, so they formed part of the midfield against Liverpool. He obviously made some changes, but isn't that to be expected? I'd certainly want Pellegrini to focus on City in the same scenario and not give other sides favours. Besides, they won!

What concerns me the most is that the media is lending a degree of credibility to all this "campaign"
nonsense rather than the ridicule that it actually warrants. The more Moaninho goes on about it the more they seem to be accepting what he says. It's only a matter of time before they start getting some seriously dodgy decisions in their favour.

Absolutely. They were ridiculed til this weekend but now media went on their side and when that happens you know what directive will Riley send out to refs.
