Chelsea Thread 2014/15

I'll just say there's a much lower threshold for an injury when you're playing an international friendly than when you're playing in the league. A broken fingernail is enough to get you out of them.

Lets hope that's true for Vinny and Stephan then

Mourinho says FFP benefits giants. We'll put this one in the "No Shit, Sherlock" file:

He is right, but Chelsea will probably eventually join the elite. FFP is a joke and surprised that so many fans were in favour of it. To me it was always a blatant attempt to keep the top teams at the top. We are seeing the result of this with United once again becoming the most powerful team financially in England and blowing everyone out of the water when it comes to players.

It might be paranoia but if "city" hadn't become "CITY" FFP never would have seen the light of day. Obviously they want the scum to succeed but they'd be just as happy if it were Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea.

I know what you mean. Before it was 4 elite clubs for 4 Champions League places. Now City are there it is a problem as 5 doesn't go into 4!

Dunno how true this is....unbelievable if true.

Chelsea have made a huge offer to sign Barcelona wonderkid Xavier Simons – who is just 11-years-old.

The Blues have been aggressively scouring the world for top talents in the last few years, and attention has now turned to Dutch kid Simons.

He is rated as one to keep an eye on in Barca’s famed academy, but Chelsea are wasting no time, and have reportedly made an offer to sign him.

It is claimed that they’ve offered significant compensation to Barca along with a big package to Simons’ family, in order to convince them to change countries.

A host of young talents have left the Catalan club for the Premier League in recent years, but none of them have been so young.

It’s thought that Chelsea are pushing for a quick answer but are prepared to offer more money in a bid to make the deal happen.

5 points after only 4 games played is a big dif. tbh but in this games their 'biggest' game was against a disjointed Everton why we already had newcastle and arsenal away and liverpool home..if we will be 2 points behind after next sunday they may get to be scared of us..i'm so piss of that i will miss watching it because of a wedding i really hope we will smash the fuckers

I think this is grasping at straws a bit. Newcastle are bottom of the league at the moment and might lose their manager. I would also say that Everton away is a harder game than Liverpool at home. Next week is quite a big game, but I think Mourinho will be quite happy with a draw. You missed Yaya badly tday and will need him at full fitness.

Costa was my tip for top goalscorer and I see he got a perfect hattrick today. 5 goals conceded in two games is not something Mourinho can ignore though.
