Chelsea Thread (2015-16)

Their players are sick of playing like cloggers and want to express themselves, rightly so as champions. The trouble is their manager wants to carry on being dull and hasn't adjusted. In short, they've had it

As for Mourinho, again, claiming they played well, it's embarrassing

His prodigy at Liverpool used to say the same last season

Yeah, he had a good half a season. As did Chelsea, actually. The second half they were picking up results, but they weren't exactly great.

He should be more interested in scoring goals than scrapping but by the looks of it, isn't

How long can they put up with Costa's behaviour when he isn't scoring? Similar to his manager really, he's tolerated when results are coming but probably isn't worth all the carry-on without the results

And the longer it goes on with Costa the more likely we'll see an almighty blow up. Personally I'm looking forward to it, despicable little man.

Something gone really wrong for them this season. They are absolute shite

Could be even worse if Begovic wasn't playing so well.

I begin to suspect the talisman that had kept mentality and motivation on a high was Drogba, like how Kompany does it for us.

Mark my words there are problems again between Jose and Roman, i can see him leving at the end of the season and finally getting the gig at United.

Stories this week again about that centre half being signed without Jose's approval after they missed out on Stones. Things like that don't sit well with a characture like Mourininho.

Simply they have been worked out. The CB's have been identified as slow - same with Ivanovic - Costa has been worked out as he can't take what he dishes out and isn't really able to dish it out now - Fabregas has just started where he left off last season - wank - for some reason Hazard is a pale shadow of last season but to be fair you can't carry a side on your own and most tellingly they haven't strengthened so there is no pressure to perform and no second string to reliably fall back on.

Throw in that mix the issues with the lovely Eva - Courtois in the news for the wrong reasons and what could be a soured manager/chairman - a back room / dressing room saga probably like our first defence of the PL title one and thats what you get - an out of form unfocussed unfit squad of players who are struggling to get their shit together

Thoroughthrunthru. I agree. And I still think he's a manager that depends on others admiring him, the version of him the media created but which people and players don't buy so much anymore. Not the infinitely flexible tactical genius. Doesn't stay long anywhere. The aura around Pep concerns me in the same way. I'm happy with the Pellers and City backroom staff configeration. Links between staff, chairman, managers, players and their aims, have broken down at Chelsea.

You have to wonder if his treatment of the medics is having an affect here. Sports changing rooms can be incredibly tribal, and those players would never countenance such a scapegoating of their friends. I think he's lost that changing room.

Look at the swamp vanMoyesaal's treatment of the Spanish players led to a "flat" dressing room and a deputation sent to his office - interestingly of English players in the persons of Rooney and Carrick - I assume because they are the senior players but I like to think its coz the Spanish one's are pussies Lol !!

Its all very well having a few tactics up your sleeve but a manager should work with what he's got and pull things together (like pellegrini does), not sulk, complain, demand and blame. He's poisonous.
