Supposedly they're going to offer Hudson-Odoi a new deal worth £100k/week.
Well to keep your top young players I think you have to offer silly money.

I don't mind this at all, but a deal like that signifies a change in status within the club. He has to be one of the top minute earners on the team from next season.

I'm going to be honest with you mate, that reads more like a journalist recounting the Twitter conversations he's read rather than anything substantial.
Would you take a report like that seriously if it was written about Foden?

In the grand scheme of things, he's managed about 600 minutes so far which, for an 18 year old at a top club, is incredible. I think he'll clear 1000 minutes this season.
In the context of this season, and looking at the players that have been keeping him out, I can understand why he feels aggrieved and why the fans are upset with the coach.
But yes, I hope he takes the contract and continues to work hard to establish himself as one of the best players in the world.
