According to Tuchel, Kante himself took the decision to be precautionary. He felt a bit of tightness and didn't want to risk it.

Felt like they were always gonna find a goal with their wingers and our open defence. Just like the FA cup and the league. 3 defeats in a row is no coincidence and it could’ve been more in the first half. Fair play to them. Pep has a new German manager to try to figure out now. Congrats Chelsea, you deserved it and Kanté is a monster.

Great team selection again Pep. When Sterling's name was announced I knew we'd lose. What sort of team was that? no midfield, no control of the game. We were never in it. At least the rags made it to a penalty shoot out. Disgraceful performance, beaten by a manager in the job for 5 minutes, who took us to the cleaners. Then to add insult to injury Sterling got the captains armband when Kevin went off. No excuses, we were crap with a capital 'P'.

I don't think so. Even so, we would have created enough to beat them. I don't think they are that much better than PSG.They would of killed us on the break
