Only a fool reads anything into games against Malmo and Bruges.

At the start of the season I feared this would be Chelsea's season but now I am much more hopeful that City can defend our title partly because City can go up another level when KDB is fit and because Lukaku has not transformed CFC in the way I expected.

Good thing we haven't played Bruges then. I was afraid of you thinking of me as a fool :)

I have always (and still do) thought of City as favourites. Lukaku, and Tuchel being here through preseason and being more settled into the league gives a much bigger shot at winning the title, but neither of them improve us so much that we're better than City or Liverpool. The media may have dubbed us favourites, which I've enjoyed listening to but to me it's always been City.

I don't really rate Zenit as I dont remember them ever qualifying out of a CL group, theyre Europa League tire club to me.
Will be interesting to see if you manage to top the group and avoid a tough opponent in the round of 16 , as Juventus seems to be back to their winning ways now that they have a competent manager. Looking forward to your game at home to Juve.
How long are Lukaku and Werner going to be out for ?

They are an EL level team but they're a decent EL level team. I think we can beat Juve at home, but as you say, they're fast improving under Allegri, so it'll likely come down to form when the time comes.

Lukaku looks like he'll miss 2-3 weeks. That's confirmed by Matt Law. No word on Werner yet but it was a hamstring, so I'm guessing a couple of weeks for him too.

Havertz, Mount and CHO will be our front line in the next weeks, with Ziyech being the only backup we have fit.

Honestly, I don't think there's a favourite this season, even though we dominated you away and won that was just 1 game.
The difference between the teams at the top is too small for it to be a favourite. I don't know if Liverpool is going to be able to keep up with us and you, in the long run , as they're fucked if their main players get injured or have a drop in form, their squad doesn't have depth IMO. Time will tell.

I think it depends with Liverpool. An injury to Salah would screw them, as they have nobody who can replicate what he does to the insane levels he does it. I think they can overcome an injury to any other player, even Van Dijk. It's when they're hit with multiple injuries to key players that they'll crumble, and that's fair enough.

I'd put us on par with Liverpool because the larger squad we have, but our first eleven isn't quite as good as theirs. City are outright favourites to me. Best manager. best team. Best squad.

Tuchel seems doesn't seem figure out to use Lukaku best ability, the fact that have been commented by Conte regarding Lukaku unimpressive form so far at Chelsea.

I don't think Lukaku has been unimpressive. He just hasn't been the bulldozing unstoppable force the media anointed him to be after the Arsenal game. He's fluctuated between decent OKish to really good this season. It's kind of like Grealish in a way. He's been pretty good whenever I've watched City, but I still see people say he's been unimpressive and even poor so far this season, which tells me he's being judged against whatever insane expectations people set for him after the record transfer.

But having said all that, I agree with you. I don't think Tuchel has quite figured out how to get the best out of not just Lukaku but Mount and Havertz around him. It's clear that Mount and Havertz mesh far better with Werner than Lukaku. But Tuchel asked for Haaland or Lukaku. He got Lukaku, so he's going to have to figure it out.

Lusaka always has a couple of spells in the Premier league when he goes on a goal drought.
See no reason for this season being any different.

Superb.

Now I can sit back and enjoy watching the rest of the league go to battle.
