Quite disappointed in Chelsea today. They’ve assembled some very good players but also some who are dreadfully underperforming, yet perhaps the most damning thing is that they still don’t have a discernible style of play. Always feels as if they are reacting to the opponent rather than dictating matters. Felt sorry for Alonso, James, Mount, Rudiger, Kante, Thiago Silva, Kovavic, and Jorginho, but the other six outfield players were shades of poor.

Thought Reese James was quality, be a decent replacement for Kyle in a couple of years. Exceptionally poor final, Chelsea really should have taken their multiple chances.

Wonder if the club sale has gone through yet, for a multi billion pound business must be a lot of due diligence involved. They need the sale to be concluded quick as the longer it drags into the summer, the greater the chance of transfer targets slipping through their fingers.

They had borrowed some of our wasteful finshing and Tuchel probably missed a trick in extra time in not bringing Werner. Still they did compete with Liverpool and it wasn't a procession they were hoping for considering their recent form.

i thought they’d get spanked. Was pleasantly surprised. Wish they’d won though.
Every game they’ve played against Liverpool this season has gone to the wire. Think that’s 4 draws out of 4 in actual playing time. Hard to break down, but slightly lacking when push comes to shove.

fuck Chelsea, they beat us in CL final but cannot score in 240 minutes vs Liverpool in two domestic cup final at all. hope their new owner will make shit signings for them

Mount has 11 goals and 10 assists in the league, 10 goals and 5 assists have come vs the bottom 5 teams.

Do they not count when they're against bottom 5? He has 13 goals 16 assists in all comps. Superb season from him.

Course they count.. like say Bruno Fernandes, he's a good flat track bully who tends to ghost the big games.

I don't really think Mount does that. He's scored in CL seminfinals, assisted in the CL final, scored against Real Madrid, scored in the fa cup semifinal. Over the last 18 months, he's had a huge impact on big games.

Anyway, I'd like to see where these teams were placed when he scored these goals because I'm sure neither Everton or Leeds were in the bottom 5 when he scored against them in earlier in the season.

The body check was intentional. He clearly meant to illegally block him and foul him. The idea that he intended to 'assault' KDB and leave him with the severe injury he ended up with is what I don't agree with. But yeah, a couple of shithouse players is always welcome. Sets the tone for the rest of the team.
He knew there was a high chance of injury
hes Winded at the very least.

i was always mindful of being blocked when I played.
it was a regular occurrence.
I found out. Quite accidentally. When one lad tried to do it to me. That if you run straight at them. Watching out of your peripheral vision for the moment they step across and turn their shoulder into you.
and you push your hands out to stop your momentum. One to the chest. The other, palm open to the face.
whilst shouting ‘obstruction ref’ on impact.
You get a free punch and awarded a free kick.
that’s what KDB should have done. And hopefully what he does the next time.

the lad apologised to me for breaking his cheek bone btw.
