First an American who knows f all about football buys Chelsea, then he appoints himself “Sporting Director” and starts buying and selling players. Then he decides the Manager doesnt know how to work with all the players he bought so fires him.

This was doomed from the start and will not end well for the Chavs.

If I were a Chelsea fan I'd be concerned - they speak to Potter but can't convince him to come across from Brighton - make you wonder what the offer is. The sack Tuchel this morning get permission to talk to Potter I am sure they were confident of securing him by teatime - its midnight - maybe they are not making him an offer he can't refuse

Fuck Yaeh! Da boss!

If they announce him tomorrow, as looks likely, that's about as fast a turnaround as you could possibly expect given they weren't talking to him this morning.

Bigger question is whether Potter can take the step up, as legit impressive as he's been at Brighton.

Chelsea fan on 5Live didn’t want Potter not experienced enough never managed a big club but yeah to John Terry Oh the irony

Potter verbally agrees to become Chelsea head coach.

It’ll end in tears, sadly for him.

Yeah I'm going to have to pump the brakes on that one haha. We are not challenging City for anything. A lot of money spent but by going for Potter instead of Zidane or Poch, it tells me the club at least want to build something sustainable in the medium term rather than go for a big name manager and ask him to win now.
Ah, the old transitional season, followed by a poor start to the following one where the Manager (Chelsea anyway) gets sacked. Potter is a decent coach, whether the players will respect him is another matter. I can’t see that horrible fucker Aubameyang being anywhere near the squad, he’ll be off in January with another big pay off.
