Five wins in a row for Potter. It wasn't a great performance yesterday but glad to see we're able to secure a win from an average performance.

Hope we can keep this run going through to the world cup.
He's doing the business for you.

Well played in stealing him before the FA came sniffing.

You have a brilliant manager, would have loved him at City at some point but prob not to be now.

We beat Swansea in the cup 2-3 a few years ago with 2 dodgy goals and I expected the usual moaning shite at the end about money, bad refs etc but non of it, just said we were the much better team.

Hope he does well, a good man.

Got a lot of time for Potter. One of the managers I would have been "happy" to see replace Pep. Oozes class. Talks about the game itself and doesn't bemoan decisions or get caught up in needless arguments. Very humble and plays a lovely brand of football with a lot of tactical nous. Perfect for England, but that ship has now sailed sadly. Howe is the other option, I think he is similarly classy off the pitch and tactically pretty good too, although I rate Potter more highly. The FA have no chance on him either.

So... not sure what we are left with. Personally I think they should go German for the next manager. Klopp would work well and will be out of a job in the summer if they can wait.

Shirking responsibility or shrinking in the face of having the responsibility is exactly what he did at City.

I posted this in January 2021:

Post in thread '#7 | Raheem Sterling - 2020/21 Performances'

with Kompany and then Silva leaving we’ve needed others to step up as leaders on the pitch who’s actions on the pitch lead us, Sterling was supposed to be that next player for us but instead I think he’s shrunk as a player when that expectation has been put on him.

He started the season well but in the last 5-6 games that’s an accurate assessment of him. I think having both him and Aubameyang in the teams limits the fluidity of the team a little too much right now. I would let him sit on the bench for a couple of games and let Pulisic have a run of games.

Some awful keeping there at the end. Went with the wrong hand and maybe was trying to make the save look better than it needed to be. Kepa is one of those keepers that can have a great game but you know he has a mistake in him.

Harsh it may be but that should have been a routine save that at the end.

Just give him the ball, best way to stop the Chelsea threat.

At the moment, this is exactly how it is. He ruins so many attacks and his movement in the box that I thought used to be elite is very nonexistent at the moment.
