He was, as was Gallagher due to his loan at rivals Palace. Potter was also booed when he took his seat on the bench.

All this is fair enough imo. It’s what football is about.
I’m surprised that Potter was booed, considering what he’d done for Brighton.

At the moment, this is exactly how it is. He ruins so many attacks and his movement in the box that I thought used to be elite is very nonexistent at the moment.
Even when he was missing sitters for us, he seemed to never lose that air of confidence that he was going to get another chance, past few weeks at Chelsea he just looks lost, zero confidence

The ruining attacks is a very familiar theme with him.

But I am surprised at his movement being poor. For me, he was always world class at making and timing his runs. It’s why he scored so many goals for us much more so than his ball control or actual finishing.

What do you expect for £50m? -:)

Good player who unfortunately believed his own hype and tried to hold city to ransom. His importance dwindled when he would not sign a new deal. The club continued to succeed and we started to change how we wanted our wingers to keep hold of the ball and retain possession. His first touch and ability to pick out the right pass started to get exposed. As said by many, he works hard and has a knack for getting into the right position but unfortunately his decision making if not on instinct let’s him down. Saying that he ain’t a wb. His performances on the right for city were decent before he left. Not sure what he is anymore.

Watched the odd 10mins here and there of their game today and Chelsea looked well shit tbh. And were we really in for cucerella(sp!) ?? He's looked dreadful whenever I've seen him play!

Did he really play Pulisic and Sterling as wing-backs? Hard to judge by the highlights, but looked more like a 3-2-4-1?

Some absolute corkers in here from the diehards.

I'm done?

Stop the stream?

Turn the lights out?

Proper fighting talk there. Love the geezer who said surely it's offside or a VAR check is coming when Brighton scored.

This 'moment' has lasted three seasons now. Such a relief to see him regularly stinking the place out, but not in sky blue. And he's not just been a bit bad he's been AWFUL.

With his wages Chelsea have put a lot of eggs in one basket with him, and it's backfiring spectacularly. I hope they make top four instead of united, but no top team would have Raheem sterling in their starting line up these days

He has purple patches and looks unplayable at times but when he’s bad, he’s shocking and the bad periods are getting longer and longer.

What a mistake sterling has done absolutely ruined his career more playing time in his favorite position of wing back ha ha what a fool on this form with Chelsea won't and shouldn't be going to world cup only getting into Chelsea side because of the fee and wages involved got what you wanted sterling what a shame only if you could turn back time

Now we see the truth how pep and his staff train players and there movements sterling looks like a headless chicken now
