I think it’s a good stop gap appointment, Frank knows the club inside out, don’t see a problem.

Yeah once they decided to sack Potter, gojng with an interim is the only thing that made sense. It’s a PR exercise for sure but it looks like it has worked because most fans are happy again.

I can imagine Nagelsman/Enrique would prefer not touch this season and have it as part of their overall record when there’s barely anything to play for.

Well I'm afraid my reaction to that, @Vialli98 is that I wouldn't trust any fanbase — not yours, not City's, not anyone's, with strategic thinking about the club they're associated with. Football fans are like weather vanes, with no sense of planning, by and large. Begiristain and Soriano know infinitely more than anyone on this forum — including me, especially me — about how to run a club.
That's why we have professionals in to look after that side of things. Well, most of us…

P.S. Swales did huge damage to us because he was a know-nothing who believed that he knew everything because he was rich, and he happened to be a City fan. We took years to recover from it.

I do agree with you actually but considering we’re talking about Lampard being here for what, 50 days? Potter had to go and once that decision is made, you now have a decision to make about what to do next. They’ve gone down the route of going through a hiring process and taking their time with it, which I agree with, so then you need an interim.

Bruno Saltor didn’t want to do as he wanted to follow Potter to where he goes next, so now you either promote a coach from the youth teams or bring in an external caretaker. Lampard seems to be as good a choice as any with the added benefit of bringing the fans back onside. I honestly don’t have any problems with bringing Lampard as caretaker or the thought process by which they arrived at this decision.

Not necessarily. We can have a discussion. Apologies if I across as an authoritative voice in this. I was just trying to offer my own opinion to yours :)

No probs. I believe in being courteous on this forum unless someone gives me very good grounds for being otherwise. (One or two have, but not many – they were simply put on Ignore, and that was that).
In general, I'm never in favour of going back. It's my temperament in my life, too, I have to say. I like Frank as a person, and of course as a player he was second to none. As a manager, well, we'll see. Even if it is short term. Very curious to see if he gets better results out of them than Potter between now and the end of the season.

Raheem made is bed and now lies in it....... occasionally...... when he gets picked......

Next season will be a new season new manager for him. I think it’s important for him to have a good season next season or he risks getting huge expensive flop allegations.
