I don't know what everyone's moaning about. I guess you don't practice for scenarios vs 9 men. It took us a bit of time of sort out our runs and through ball timings and once we did that we were getting in on goal every 2 mins. Spurs in the exact same situation against Liverpool created absolutely nothing and were bailed out by a very very fortunate own goal at the very last second.
You don’t need to practice. You do the same things as you normally do, but with more time and precision.

Well, that’s what you should do.

You don’t need to spring the offside trap when you’re in a race with Eric Dier. You can just outpace him.

Yes but we were getting out timings wrong. It's not like they didn't know what to do. The timings was just off. The first 15-20 mins after the second red the attacker would either run offside or he'd time his run right but the ball was overhit. Once we found the sweet spot, as I said, we were getting in on goal every 2 mins and we scored 3 goals.

Credit to Spurs players for still managing to create a chance or two, to be fair.

Surprised that no pundit that i have heard after the match never mentioned how good Chelsea were after the first 15 mins of Spurs being good.

Yep that's true. We were growing into the game. We had two goals disallowed and Jackson missed a sitter before Romero was sent off. I felt like we were getting on top when Spurs self-imploded.

I thought you played pretty well last night. From being 1-0 down you completely dominated and had Spurs rattled. They lost their heads but you were carving out chances with ease. It took you a while to make the most of playing 9 men but as you say it was just a case of players being a bit too eager to run in behind and because Spurs kept a high tempo you possibly were playing at too frantic a pace still. Job done in the end. There are the makings of a good team there, but it's still a bit worrying how low on confidence the likes of Sterling and Jackson are and how frequently they were running offside. Considering the pace of your frontline they didn't need to go so early. I know Jackson scored three but for his third he was hoping to slide it across to Mudryk who again looked like he'd gone offside which meant he had to change his mind and that actually helped him beat the keeper in the end! When Sterling burst through and had Palmer right and Jackson left, I can't believe how poor his ball to Palmer was (he should have played Jackson in) - although it ended up leading to Udogie's sending off so helpful in the end!

It shouldn’t have taken 40 minutes to work out though.

It didn't. We took the lead 20 mins after they were down to 9 and we had least two sitters where we timed the run and the pass perfectly but the players just fluffed their lines. Obviously, it's a young team so the longer it took to get the cushion 3rd goal the less confident they looked and the more frantic they became.

Yeah the decision making from Sterling, Jackson and Mudryk was awful most of the game. I agree with you about how the game was going before they lost their heads. They peppered us for 15 mins and got a flukey goal out of it but from the 15th minute to the first red card I felt like we were comfortably on top.

I think your sterling was appallingly greed trying to dribble around the defence instead of passing to players in better positions. Your 2 £100,000,000 midfielders were gash
