Keep correcting people who post 5 years is the limit now it is in uefa in the premier it isn't you could have a 10 years contract there is NO premier ffp rule on how long a contract can be..
What you are not grasping is for Chelsea to facilitate the amortisation fee they will have to be in Europe, without the additional revenue they won’t sustain the financial requirements. So those amortised fees will kick in or they will be kicked out, it’s not difficult to understand the contracts will have to be valued on 5 year cycles regardless of Premier League rules. No Europe equals no sustainability for Chelsea.

Oh yeah I get all that and agree but have you seen the punishment for overspending failing in Europe? PSG have failed ffp 2 years running and got fined 65m 55m suspended. Chelsea will take this into account, agree also they need top 5 this season to bring in some big money then that will bring in big sponsors!

It's intriguing watching on with what chelsea are doing and how it will all pan out..

Sterling is a ****, never has a good word for our club or the fans who backed him. Racially abused by Chav fans though, fuck him, he’ll be shit again this season running down blind alley’s and losing the ball, I wish him all the worst.
that's a shame. he speaks very highly of you

Cold as a Fish mate, some fans think we should show respect to him and other players like Yaya when they couldn't give a toss about anyone but themselves ;)

Chelsea looked good. Looked the better side than Liverpool after their team settled into their shape.

Thought Sterling look miles better than he was last season, was one of their more dangerous threats going forward.

Sterling was pretty good throughout. Happy for him because he's been getting a lot criticism. I thought we looked shook in the first 30 mins but after that we took over and dominated the game pretty much the rest of the way. Very happy with that performances.

Not completely sure of the situation but the commentator yesterday said they had had two sponsors turned down? Paramount because of broadcasting integrity concerns, and another because of some associated thingy with Silverlake?

Paramount was blocked by the PL and I think it was Stale, that weird dodgy crypto betting company, that fans backlashed against.

I was very happy with what I saw yesterday. Carried on from the good performances during preseason into the real season. Quite a few standout performances for me -

Enzo is world class
James is just brilliant, just needs to stay fit
Silva, this man is 39 years old for fecks sake, how is he still producing at this level
Gallagher really got a hold of himself after a VERY shaky first 30 mins. Impressive from him.
I loved what I saw from Jackson too.

If I was to summarise the weekend:

Chelsea better than expected
Liverpool worse than expected
City good if uninspiring
Arsenal uninspiring and not so good
Newcastle good off and on
Villa not good
Brighton good as expected
Spurs Spursy.

United of course will lose badly tonight and we can all have a laugh.
