Ath Madrid play 4 o'clock on Sunday not much help there from the Spanish league
Jose will play his strongest side available

In a nutshell, totally down to City and no one else.
Yeah fuck all to do with dippers poss winning 15 games on the run.
Maybe losing at Villa, Cardiff, one point from Sunderland has something to do with it, the best team always wins the league.
Not to mention the draws at Stoke and Norwich. The games against Chelsea (twice), Klanfield and at St Mary's were always going to be difficult, so losing points in those four games wasn't THAT much of a shock to the system. But 15 points gone west against Villa, Cardiff, Sunderland (twice!), Stoke and Norwich is criminal. Even if we'd only picked up 6 points in those games (instead of the three we managed), things would be looking much better now.

I hope its mind game only.

Liked he went after the fres Dean and Riley after their Sunderland loss, actually congratulate them.
Now if vs Pool there is some dogdy ref mistake favouring Pool that just backs up his theory about refs and should congratulate them again.:)
Some times this little mind game can be the difference when Cahill touches Suarez inside a box and it should be a pe but ref might not give it unless he thinks its 150% sure pen.

But now they are one win away from CL final, and two wins away from a CL trophy. In their place I would certainly put CL as top priority, as for the title they would need to win all 3 games, two of them away games, its very hard.
Also Chelsea finally have some injured players (they were pretty lucky avoid bigger injuries for key players so far) it makes it hard for them now.

Beating Pool away from home is extremely hard, they only lost 1 games at home so far, Mournho is capable of coming up with a plan tho to beat them, but CL games make it hard for Chelsea to be 100% mentally and tactically.

Its sad we couldnt get a draw at Anfield after coming back to 2-2, but that Kompany brainfuck cost us so much. Just like not beating a poor Sunderland at home. Now we have to hope Pool making mistakes, but thats what many said recent weeks they wont win that game and this game, and that game and they keep winning.
And even if they drop points, Palace/Everton still could be matches where we drop points. too. Very hard to be optimistic.

How would people feel if City played the following team; Hart, Richards, Demichelis, Lescott, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Garcia, Navas, Silva, Milner, Dzeko??? Weak team? Well it beat Bayern Munich in Munich. Don't concern yourself with Mourinho's comments. Fortunately Chelsea have a strong squad. For the 2nd leg he has to mix things up. There are plenty of players that are out of the second leg anyway. It looks as though Eto'o and Hazard could be back. Matic and Salah are inelegible for the CL. Lampard and Mikel suspended. Even if he isn't just saying this, the likelihood is that you will have Cole, Lampard, Mikel, Oscar, Matic, Salah, Ba/Torres all playing. It makes sense for Mourinho to maintain the same style of play and go defensive and work on the compact midfield and defence and counter ahead of the 2nd leg where he will look to do just that again. I'm not sure Chelsea will beat Liverpool but I am confident they wont lose.

Similar starting XIs to the one that won at the Allianz didn't beat Blackburn away, struggled to beat Watford at home and lost to Wigan at home and were very poor in all three games.

He's got no intention of playing a second-string, hence the bollocks about having to discuss with the club who he might pick.

I fancy Pardew to turn them dippers over at Anfield - so keep winning you City boys!

That's got to win the prize for most wildly over-optimistic post on here. Sadly, Newcastle will be getting nothing other than a dry bumming at Klanfield.

Isn't it just? So much so, that I'm tempted to think it was a Clarkie. Newcastle are in freefall and if we go into the last game of the season needing them to get something from their game at Liverpool then they may as well hand over the trophy before the match kicks off.
I'm sure United felt the same way about us playing QPR 2 years ago. We'd dropped 2 points at home all season and faced relegation threatened QPR, who had the worst away record in the league, but the improbable very nearly happened.

I won't be giving up until the final whistle goes and the improbable becomes the impossible.

This is Mourinho... He's just playing the mind games. He's not giving up on anything. He just want's to heap more pressure on Liverpool by saying "Oh, poor little Chelsea, no one helps us, we'll have to play a weakened side. Liverpool will be expected to win. Boo hoooo"
