I really am quite bemused at your reaction. To play a weakened team would be very Mourinho. Aside from being pragmatic, and aside from being logical as he has an excellent chance to progress to the final of club football's biggest competition but little chance of winning the league and into the bargain grow his ego by being the first person to win the Champions League with three different clubs, and aside from sheltering his ego from the risk Liverpool beating his best team, he has a chance to stick two fingers up at the FA - who are another umbrella he hides his ego under.

The schedule is shit and I would not blame Mourinho if he does that. It's his choice. At the same time, I think that these players are 'programmed' to manage to play two games in three days and, of course, there are a few positions in that team where he can rotate his team, due to suspensions etc.

And of course, hopefully his fresh team will still get a thrashing from Atletico. :)

Don't think anything has been decided yet and with SSN having the news about wee Davey on repeat for the last few days they haven't really found time to show the elbow.

EDIT: I hope we can all agree that the frequency at which SSN show these kind of incidents plays a factor in whether the FA decide to take action
