I agree with you, but were debating the inconsistency now between referees and games, which I'm sure f*ks you off the same as it does me.Paul Lake's Left Knee said:cleavers said:So, if he'd done that against Vinny, and got Vinny a card you'd think he was right ? Would you f*ck, he dived, he had no need to go down, he knew he'd been booked, he let his team mates down.cookster said:It wasn't a second yellow card offence.
Like Young, Rooney, Suarez and many others Torres is a diver, I know referees are inconsistent with punishments for this, but only one thing will stop it, cards every time.
In some ways I'm proud of our own players, who by and large don't do it, Tevez yesterday could have had 2 penalties, and Mario should have had 1, but they didn't go down, Silva never does, but we never benefit from staying up, so I'm delighted when the cheats get caught, sorry for that.
I agree diving should be stamped out, but Sterling blatenly dived whilst on a yellow, Gerrard milled over to sort it and Mariner bottled it only an hour or so earlier. Then later in the game he was barely touched (very much like Torres) and it was deemed ok as he was entitled to go down because of the faint touch. Nothing was said that Evans led with both feet, and that Torres was within his rights to jump out of the way of 2 sets of studs. There is zero consistancy and whilst i am very much of the opinion there is no agenda, the Rags do seem to get the benefit from any inconsistancy on a very consistant basis.
That apart, it wasnt just the 2 reds, the offside goal, Battenburg got so many decisions wrong today, it was laughable.
Rags getting the benefit of decisions is nothing new, nor is Clattenburg being a bent tw@t, but Torres didn't need to go down, and for me has let his team mates and fans down.
