Chelsea. What's gone wrong for them?

I don't recall ever seeing such a dramatic slump from any Premier League side, let alone the defending champions. What was going on with Ray Wilkins? Has anyone watched a match lately, and if so can they provide any insights? Apologies if I've missed any recent discussion on this subject.

Edit- Not to appear overly concerned for a competitor, I'm just puzzled.
