Cheltenham Festival 2016 - Discussion Thread

I backed it for the right race before the announcement as well, so wasn't overly upset to see it withdrawn lol

Fair play mate, it was more the ante post betters who stuck money at big prices this time last year after he hosed up that I felt sorry for.

Whatever the reasons, however fit he really was, I am happy the connections talked him down ;-)

A mate of mines down there for the week, I'm as jealous as fuck, I'm waiting to see if he's got a smile on his face on Sunday

I was glad i had a good betting day on Wed having been there Tues, was very drunk when I got back, Guinness and honey whiskey is a fine combination until you wake up the next day. Having 4 winners sorted me right out though ;-)

A group of us do the Tues every year as its probably the best day of actual racing historically, going to do Tues and Wed next year as Wed now rivals Tues for quality, not sure I will be able to get pissed both days like I was on Tues though.

Well after drawing a total blank for two days I decided not to touch the bookies today. That was until I saw enhanced odds of 25/1 for Valtour & Thistlecrack double. Paid me out in free bets which I used to back Empire of Dirt at 16's...never say never.

Happy Paddy's day to all our friends from across the sea, a resounding 6-1 win today, surely going to win the GB vs Ireland comp for the first time.

I know it will be close but also thinking how many has Jonjo O Neil trained to win so far? Technically he is Irish too coming from Cork lol but is classed as English winners mmmm take him out of it and the Irish be winning it a lot.

Unless I go big (which I wont) I will not be down this Cheltenham, no way, even losing every race tomorrow I will be up, but going to bet carefully in any case. Happy days mate.

With what I won today I will not finish down, if only I could have a better second day, I am historically useless on a Wednesday lol

He's got a big motor home so just parks up there, probably reading this now if he's not pissed :-)

Had a nice little trixie come in today. Vautour, Thistlecrack and Limini
