People advocating a strong EDS presence have obviously never watched a Pep team play in the FA Cup. He will play a very strong side paying opposition and the competition due respect as he always does.
Usually he does but with the number of games played recently and to be played in the next few weeks I’m not sure tomorrow. I’d be very very surprised to see more than 6 first team squad players in the starting 11 with a few on the bench just in case.

Now KDB is injured for 4-6 weeks, I wouldn’t risk Foden in a game like this for example and wouldn’t play Stones or Dias either. If some of our youngsters are good enough for the bench then they are good enough for this game.

Depends what you mean by 'first team squad player'? I can see the likes of Mendy, Ake and Torres getting a run out. They'd be pretty annoyed if one of the academy lads got the nod ahead of them.

A great interview, no side to this guy. A sportsman to the core by the sound of this interview. Down to earth and realistic. Thanks @LongsightM13 for posting that.
I always remember he turned up for Burnley’s first pre-season training after getting in the PL in his wife’s Ford Focus. Chris Eagles rocked up in a Lamborghini so tells you everything about their contrasting characters.

I’m hoping some academy players start. Probably not going to happen though

I almost wonder if the De Bruyne injury might change his thinking and we’ll now see 2-3 academy players. We can’t keep risking senior players in matches like this.
