Have any of City's players ever experienced one of these? Maybe as kids, probably not as professionals.

FOCs on here might recall Derby's Baseball Ground. Did anyone go to Southend in 1he Cup in 1956 with its pitch of mud & sand & shells? ? Then there was the Tooting & Mitcham v Notts Forest Cup tie in - long time ago.

The tide was definately out when I last went to the Baseball ground and there was a small patch of green near our corner flag. Big Joe marked out the penalty spot IIRC.

Think we could maybe start with a couple of academy lads in this one. Maybe THB and Doyle and then bring on more attacking lads if we get well in front. I have an inkling that Pep may prefer to use this to give minutes to established first teamers though.

If Jesus and Sterling play maybe then can get some goals which would help their confiednce - would love to see Delap given a run out.

Expect Pep to play a strong team , i think Laporte , Mendy , Mahrez, Torres , Jesus , will start and hopefully Doyle and Palmer get some minutes , Pep takes every competition seriously but i will give it five minutes before the BBC commentary mention Mendy's wages would pay the council tax of every Chetenham resident for a decade.
