Then you just fill in the gaps. I would like Doyle to get one of the midfield spots. Then maybe Bernardo or Foden play in the other. At right back it really depends on what the deal is with Walker. If he’s fine then I guess we can risk Cancelo knowing that Walker is ok. If not, we might see Garcia play right back with another CB brought in.

Think harwood-bellis plays right back with Garcia and laporte centre halves. Hope Doyle and delap get a start.

I think I might have seen Steve Book play once or twice in the Dr Martens League (aka the Southern League) while I was working in the Midlands in the late 90s. Cheltenham possibly owe their existence as a football league club to the fact that they were originally promoted to the conference in controversial circumstances. They finished a long distant second to Gresley Rovers in 1998. Rovers had ex blue Paul Futcher as player manager and they pissed the league by about 15 points but their Moat Ground, in the former mining town Swadlincote, in south Derbyshire, was such a dump that they were refused promotion. They were also denied the option of playing a season at the recently vacated Baseball Ground while they tried to get the Moat Ground up to scratch.
So Cheltenham were controversially promoted instead as runners up. They had pipped their local rivals Gloucester City to second place by a point.
Poor Gresley Rovers never recovered. There was an exodus of players and management, they later went bust and a reformed club is now playing way down the regional pyramid. All that despite absolutely pissing a league which contained future EFL clubs Cheltenham, Gresley’s local arch rivals Burton Albion, Newport and Crawley, recent cup conquerors of Leeds
