In the case of repeated fines, if a parent receives a second fine for the same child within any three- year period, this will be charged at the higher rate. So let’s say you take the child out for 5 days there is no fine, if you take out for another day within that year you’ll get fined £80. If you then within a year from the last fine do another 5 days then that would still be six days, you’d hit the second fine. Do it again then within another year and you go to court.I’m not sure what you are trying to say. I can take my child out of school, if I wish, for 5 days every 10 school weeks without being fined.
Just to add, assuming I’ve read the rules correctly, my original point was I found that pretty lenient.if there are 39 school weeks, if I space the time off right I could take my child out of school 4 x 5 days for a total of 20 days in one school year without getting a single fine.
What you seem to be saying is I could take my daughter out say on the 1 Jan for 5 days, now no fine because I’ve not gone over 5 days. So if I then go on holiday in April which is ten weeks later are you saying I could have another 5 days without a fine? There is no way you can take your kid out 20 days in a year mate, absolutely no way, you need to check it.
