The easiest way to deal with this would probably be for your sister to put in the windows of both of the property's and burn them down.

Ha, me neitherSeriously though no way would I remove a back to back chimney stack in an old house, I'd expect the house to immediately collapse. Or huge cracks in walls over time.

Is planning permission required for this work? and what are the potential problems for my sister if he takes down the chimney? Any advice is much appreciated blues!
