Chris Grayling - is there no beginning to this mans talents?

I'm travelling on Saturday. What a joke the whole thing is. I've tried every route possible and still can't figure out how to get a normal 2 - 2.5 hour journey to not last over 5 hours......assuming I make both 6 minute changeovers on a route that normally goes straight through. The biggest piss take of the whole thing is that Northern couldn't even tell me until a few days ago which trains would be running, even though the strike has been going on for about 6 weeks now. They were selling tickets for their normal train schedule in the full knowledge that most of them would be cancelled.

How come for ticketing agencies thats bad yet for railways that allowed????

Can’t believe this thread’s been going since July and no-one’s yet referred to this abomination:

https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/giggs-backed-for-knighthood

You lot have lost a sense of perspective.

btw, this was before Giggs was revealed as a dissolute degenerate.

This bit has aged particularly well:

"He [Giggs] is a positive role model in so many ways that he deserves the recognition of a knighthood."

6 weeks? 18 months would be closer.

They cant guarantee which services will run as they are relying on Scab conductors/management grade to cover the work.'Talks' continue but Arriva will not compromise on their stance that a second safety critical member is not needed on a train, neither will they guarantee the presence of a second person(irrespective of skills).

Grayling is the archetypal minister who will never make anything of the tasks he is given. Flits from one ministry to the next wi' ne'er a mark left on the last job. Whichever ministry he stumbles into he will detail everything that needs overhauling, what the issues and problems are, and then do fuck all to rectify them before, hey ho, off to the next ministry. Westminster is full of 'em.
