Idk about Benteke, a lot of Spurs fans want us to sign him but I'm not sure if he could cut it in a top team when it requires more refined skills to break teams down.

When you have Ade in your ranks you cant afford to be too fussy......

I think he'd be ideal in your set up.

Guidetti's record in Holland was much better than Benteke's in the weaker Belgian league and Guidetti is younger. It just goes to show how that a little faith in a young player can pay off, many clubs/coaches are just scared to take that risk though, especially at bigger clubs.

If we end up selling Guidetti this summer, no doubt his value will double in a year and a club like Dortmund will sign him in the future.

That's way too simplistic.
The Belgian league is way more focused on defending than the Dutch league. The dutch teams always go for it, even against bigger sides. In Belgium there are a lot of teams that just shut up shop and play for the draw or gamble on a counter when they're up against a better (in form) team.

There are a lot of strikers that failed in the Belgian league and went on to be prolific goalscorers in the Dutch league. Just because they've got a lot more space there. Vleminckx, Finnbogason, Malki, Bulykin, ... in recent years have all been topping the goalscoring charts after they were poor in the Belgium league.

Let's just get Guidetti fit first before making judgements on the 4th striker option. From what I read on these forums, his condition was career threatening. Even if he comes back 'fully fit' there's always the chance that he has lost a bit of edge from his game, this being vital in our league.

I stand by my comments in there. Great player, scores goals, strong, young.

10-15mil would represent a steal.
