Same here. Nicks is a great singer, but her voice has a sort of "nasal" quality about it. McVie is definitely the nicer voice.

I guess Stevie must have consumed more of the Bolivian Marching Powder than Christine did but yeah, that's exactly why I always preferred Fleetwood Mac songs that Christine McVie sang on.

I absolutely loved her voice and song writing skills. Preferred her vocals to Stevie Nicks. Gutted when I heard last night. Gave me a (sad) excuse to crank this beauty up, nice and loud though.

Christine McVie had that classic contralto range that lends itself to a sort of bluesy and sensual sound even when going to the top end.

No right or wrong just preferences but that lower natural range really does it for me, I thought she had a fantastic voice. Surprised how much I'm taken aback by her passing.

Theres a brilliant documentary on the making of Rumours...i "think" it may have been one of those VH1 Behind the Music videos...i must try and find it to watch again.
