Christopher Walken

Mentioned this before on here but its worth repeating.

Walken has a hatred of punctuation on a page. He regards it as someone telling him when to pause reading and he doesnt like to be told what to do.
He prefers to decide on the rythym of the prose himself.

So he has a personal assistent (this is true) whose job it is to take out all commas, full-stops etc on any scripts he gets sent.

Thats why he has such a strange and distinctive speaking style - long pauses halfway through sentences whilst at other times speeding through two sentences as if they are one.

There was a suspition that Walken was involved in the death of Natalie Wood. He was never charged for anything in connection with her mysterious death aboard a boat in 1985. A lot of speculation though. Loads of info if you Google it!

I've heard this also.
He is one of my favourite actors of all time, very versatile. He's played comedy parts, gangster parts, serious parts, sci-fi parts but always has the nack of keeping 'Walken'. True genius and as the OP says, very underrated.

Genius. King Of New York is one of the best gangster films of all time. True Romance and his scene with Dennis Hopper was magical. Brilliant, brilliant acting from two masters.
Even his cameo in Pulp Fiction almost stole the show.
He was also ace as the sergeant in Biloxi Blues, a forgotten gem from the 80s.

That is a brilliant film
The prostitute scene is piss pants funny!

Stillsy take note!! ;-)
