Kids don't have to be able to tell you. Any parent knows when an infant is suffering and with a well performed circumcision done with local anaesthetic, the level of suffering is minimal.

I'd like to know how you know that? Obviously babies can't tell you they're in pain other than to cry, but that'd mean they're more or less constantly in pain for the first year? All you have to do is make a funny face and suddenly the 'pain' stops for them. They say the brain isn't wired up properly yet at that stage, so while it might not feel great being squeezed through a vagina or having the umbilical cord tugged on and cut off, i'd say it's impossible to know how much pain a baby feels. That being said, the benefits appear to be minuscule and there is the risk of a botched circumcision causing problems down the line.

I think if you've had a baby, then you have already opened the door to a living thing that will doubtless experience plenty pain throughout it's existence. So to those that say "The pain! the pain! it's barbaric!" or whatever are being a little bit silly. If there are legitimate reasons for getting it done.. just like having an appendectomy so you can't get appendicitus.. then you make the decision in the interest of the child... now all that remains is, is there legitimate enough benefits? That should be the only question to me.

I think you will find that the vast and overwhelming majority of those circumcised do not regard themselves as being mutilated. But calling it that gives you a nice warm cuddly feeling that you are doing good for babies.
Just don't give a f***ing shit about the actual result of any such legislation which results in babies being genuinely put at risk through infection and poorly performed circumcisions.

Those people don't count now because their parents were criminals because we have called them that.

I have a good friend who has done literally hundreds and I can assure you that for the vast majority it is a very low pain procedure.

It seems like you don't realise that there is a difference between FGM and male circumcision.

Of course I do but with your limited reading skill you didn't see that the post I was replying to suggested all mutilation on religious grounds was acceptable and no one else's business.
