Foley went and posted a pic on his Twitter from the Shed End. Not sure when it was taken (30 mins before, 1 min before) but 6 is closer to 25 from it.

TBH I'm all for trying new things, but headbutting some guy on a first outing (if this story is true) will only undermine the effort from the start.

Never mind a link, post one on here

Even better.. There is an update on facebook sayin it was a good turnout and a great night but also a pitty that some came to try and ruin the night. How fookin sad is that if people actually went down to disrupt this. Rags in disgiuse?

text from a guy i know who went

"about 25 were waving flags and singing non-stop for 15 mins then from no where about 40 lads, didn't know who they were but they sang as well, non stop till half time, was weird for an reserve game but i was toe tapping lol"

Well done all those that turned up both Citizens and the Blue Alliance. Big respect for turning out for something you believe in on a cold November night.
I was there tonight, spent most of the time watching the game and wasn't in with the group of singers. We lost, we didn't play particularly well, but never mind always next time.

Yeah well done to most involved. The flags and banners were the best part of it all. People sang for the whole 90munites which is great. There were some absolute bell ends in the group that came about twenty minutes in singing Munich songs. but it wasn't all of them, just a few. On the whole it was good to see the flags and realise we do actually have fans that can sing none stop for ninety minutes because at the Etihad you'd never know these people existed. If all involved can keep going to EDS games together and form one big group I think that will be great. Things will grow from there. More flags, more banners, more noise, but less Munich chanting from the minority of wankers that were at it.

Oh and met NorthernBoy at the game, chatted to him and his mate for a bit; seem like good lads!

So just to confirm, there was 6 flags, a smoke bomb, a minibus full of citizens and a coach load of BA, some fella watching some fellas, some fella buttin some fella.
Was its shit? It sounds slightly bizzare.

The Citizens. Or 6 kids and a scally all watched by Andy Raffles

Laughable. The scally was the one who head butted the young lad cause the citizens got shown up.

The scally thinking he was an Italian ultra dictating the 6 kids what to do was comical
Who the fuck is Andy raffles?

Was there really only one smoke bomb?? These things look great, Iv got some in the drawer in the spare room but more than one goin off would have been good. I thought loads of these would have been taken to the game. There will be other time though, i hope..

I went with The Citizens, I was waving the "Cream of Manchester" flag for the whole of the first half (if anyone was there, you'll know the one I mean). Things all got a bit heated between one or two people at half time, but Felix and few others seemed to calm things down, the second half was a laugh, both groups stood together and joining in songs.

I left before the alleged headbutting, but I can imagine exactly which two it was. If it's who I'm thinking from TBA, he wasn't exactly innocent, not that I'm condoning it, but one or two of them were as aggressive as anyone. Out of the 60 or so altogether, only about 4 were involved in anything violent, the rest just having a laugh.

I agree the Munich songs weren't on, but again, by a minority.

-- Thu Nov 08, 2012 9:55 pm --

About 4 at kick off, and one or two attempts in the second half
