Disagree. Both about death. Both in different contexts admittedly. Funnily enough, they started singing it when it kicked off on the forecourt after the game last night. Sheltered and protected by the police obviously
Just got in. Sat down. Opened a bottle of Proper Job. Having a celebratory drink before I go to bed. :-)
I don’t want this post to be an us and them post. Because at the end of the day we’re all City fans.
But they away end was full of local City fans tonight. Apart from Zinchenko and his Mrs. ;-)
And didn’t it make a Hell of a difference!
City’s away support was immense.
I’ve been lucky enough to go to OT on numerous occasions in the past and tonight’s support was one of the best I’ve ever heard. Especially in the 1st half.
Hopefully the club have taken note of the tremendous away support tonight?
When City go to Old Trafford again for the PL game, I hope they club will make more tickets available for City’s local support.
A big thank you to Pep and the team for a wonderful performance, and a wonderful night at Old Trafford.
Good night. :-)
Meanwhile over on that Twitter, the future Poet Laureate and fellow fan fleecer, Pete 'pete' Boyle saying we were quiet last night and when he could hear us it was songs that he would expect from a non-league following, the notrite delusional fuckwit.
While that song doesn't offend me, anyone who still has the full game on their planner from the 2008 50th anniversary Munich derby, play it from the start of the match and you'll find that they were singing that "City's gonna die...." song in the first few minutes. I had no idea on the day as I was at the game and couldn't hear it, but when I played it back the following day I was astonished that they actually sang it at that particular game, given the context and how impeccably our fans behaved in the build-up.
