Looks like LCD number templates. A nod to the digital clock at 93:20 maybe, or something to do with Manchester’s computing history, given the recent trend towards referencing the city’s historical landmarks.
If they really wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Agueroooooo then why not a modern update of that season’s shirt?

Personally I like v-necks (but not this one!). The classic City shirts from the 50's look mint and Uruguay have had similarly impressive ones too, just needs to be fucking light blue !!!!
