City’s New Kits

Nipped over to the Clubshop and bought the new shirt with KingCol on the back , one of the best shirts for years , got a BBQ on Sunday with quite a few Rags and Dippers in attendance , will be pointing to the Champions emblem on the sleeve and telling them "you aint got one of them have you ?" .

Blue and WHITE they go together, we will carry on forevermore!
Kevin Godley, Graham Gouldman and Lol Creme got it spot on. They didn't even have: http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Manchester_City/Manchester_City.htm

Seems like 1976-85 was the sky blue short era. 06/07, 11/12, 14/15, 16/17, and 21/22 being the 5 other seasons where sky blue seemed easier to wash than brilliant white. Four seasons of black/grey/navy shorts as Ardwick and early MCFC are reflected in later trims but never appear as a home main short colour.

Between 1897 and 1976 there were only white shorts. Right? Mostly sky blue or white socks.

Occasionally navy or black socks (1887-1951). Back 1987-93. The laser blue years embraced it too.

The maroon trim introduced in 62/63 (back 66-72) was class and it is good to see it back.
Sadly only seen in socks in my life time. 2010/11 obviously had it and 17/18 lesser so.

Never truly understood the 72-74 red/white and blue socks. Or the 19/20 purple bits, no matter how they're justified.

Probably a way to use maths and calculate the perfect City historical kit:

Shirt: sky blue with maroon and white trim. Navy somewhere on there, as a sponsor likely.

Shorts: white, mostly

Socks: bar white/blue with a maroon and navy trim.

Gotta be close:
