City’s New Kits

We had 18 kits from Nike and I can't think of more than 4 of them that were genuinely bad. Always felt Nike get a bad rep.

Also, I dont think Puma have gotten a lot wrong.
I liked all of them except top right.
There was a Nike home shirt with a black trim which was my favourite shirt since the Umbro era.
Not a huge fan of some of the puma shirts though.

Especially that weird 3rd kit from a few seasons back.

All about opinions pal, the different colour sleeves season Nike did I hated with a passion!! tho I loved the classic champs lg one they did, the white one with blue stripes down the side, can’t remember the year?!!

13/14 third shirt. Absolute all timer of a shirt.

That first year, Nike delivered on all 3. The home was classically simple, the half black, half charcoal and this one as well.

That is genuinely the worst kit we have ever had.

I think it was Puma cutting corners. They had an almost identical shirt for AC Milan and a few other puma teams.

For me it just made Puma look like they couldn’t be bothered.

Dortmund's home kit that season was this cookie cutter type design. Puma had to apologise to their fanbase because it was that bad.

Great performance today. Savinho looks like a player. While everyone's in a good mood, I hope mentioning my thread about City’s move to eco-friendly kits is okay. I’m a master’s student researching how fans feel about this shift and how it affects purchasing decisions.

If you haven't already, please check it out on my thread "Calling all Manchester City fans: Help with my dissertation on - Fans’ perspectives on MCFC’s Eco-friendly Jerseys and sustainability efforts" and take my short survey. Your input would mean a lot. Thanks a lot. Here's a quick link to the survey: https://forms.office.com/Pages/Resp...umESujBlURVM4UkFNUDdOOFFJSEZRVDlJVTRVN1o4VC4u

Done.

PS. God I wish they would come back to proper materials instead of this recycled nonsense. Not gonna happen but heyho I’d even gladly pay extra

There was a debate on here in December when those kit colours for the CWC were leaked and weren't sky blue. They had a monochrome badge on them.

Thought this was interesting when I went on FIFA this morning and looked at tickets:

Our badge is in monochrome. None of the other club badges on the site were not in full colour. Chelsea & Madrid both had full coloured badge. I hope this isn't confirmation that we aren't wearing sky blue during this competition as it is a huge faux pas on the clubs behalf if so.

that's an ultimate piss take from our club if they are really doing that and I wont mind if whoever gave a green light to that stumbles on his sunday walk and falls into manchester canal (obviously with no bigger harm apart from stinking like shite tho)

Our late 80's and early 90's shirts were always a simple but stunning design by Umbro.

Here's a Colin Hendry match worn shirt set which includes the brilliant Scottish international's 18th November 1989 debut signed shirt v Nottingham Forest, 1990/91 away shirt and the shirt from his goalscoring Manchester Derby Day draw on 27th October 1990.

All about opinions but to me those kits said everything about Umbro at that time, utter crap.

When Umbro came back to us in 2009 they produced magnificent kits, for me the best designs and best quality in our history.

Every city badge is in the right colours on my screen
