City’s New Kits

They’re all Aston Villa kits.

Villa were the first to wear those colours in 1887 and Burnley, West Ham and Scunthorpe all copied Villa because Villa were one of the top clubs in early football.

Burnley wore all of these colours as home kits before copying Villa in 1910:

Should have kept the 1894/95 kit and colours.

Not a joke, either — the pink/white stripes and blue shorts look great and they would have been one of the only clubs in the world with those colours, so would have a huge advantage in “branding” differentiation now.

As opposed to any casual fans they are trying to attract now getting confused as to which of the 25 English clubs that play in claret and light blue is Burnley.

Bit of a weird 1 i've got my lad the home kit age 8 to 9 and they have only gone and spelt Rodri wrong on the back( rhodri it says ) it's still in the plastic and free to a blue home

Didn't like our away kit at all at first but after seeing it on Friday it's giving me these vibes and I love it...

The Embassy kit. Umbro really were taking the piss with that one. I was glad we fucked them off shortly after they gave us that (or they fucked us off…can’t remember which).
It was the 1997 kit for the launch of the Stones Bitter Super League.

Yeah, I was gutted we lost Umbro in many ways...and so glad we hooked up again 2009-13 to give us some of our best kits ever. But those final 90s years when they were focused on united weren't great (that one being the worst).
