City 10 Huddersfield Town 1

Clive Wilson scored the third…?

Was that the night it absolutely pissed it down and we were in the open end? You could see the steam coming off the City fans after it stopped. The end was so packed I was wet from the chest up and dry from the chest down.
I don't remember Clive Wilson at City in 87/88
Hadn't he already joined Chelsea by then ?

It was definitely the night of torrential rain and we all got soaked on the open terrace ,I was already soaked to the skin having had to walk 3 miles up to junction 26 M1 to wait for a lift from the supporters club mini bus , and waiting for it to arrive in the pouring rain.
Soaked again on the terrace ,but I remember a brilliant feeling at the end of the match having made the 4th round of the FA Cup....how times have changed!

Missed that game due to my sister in law getting married on that day, I knew the marriage wouldn’t last as he was a rag knob ! Couldn’t get to a tv to watch match of the day either no Sunday repeats then .
Six months later they split ! Grrrrr

A load of my mates went to this game, I couldn't go for what ever reason, as they were setting off my mate said any predictions, I said 10 - 0, he laughed and said you can't have that, so I said alright then 10-1, his face when he came back In the pub later was a picture, he said please tell me you put a bet on, but i hadn't, always wondered what the odds would have been.

I did all 3 and the turn back on the Tuesday. Think you got a letter or something of swales as well as a thank you! Might be in the loft

You got a certificate if you did all three on the official supporters travel.

It had the number of miles combined on it.

The guy who ran the trains at least was called Howard. Forget his second name. Nice fella.
