anybody who sees this as a good season (4 places above united) needs to think about why they support city. pathetic.

Really?

We have no guarantee that we will win the league and finishing second is suddenly a disaster?

For your info the QF of Champions league would be the furthest we have ever achieved.

Time for a reality check I think!!!!

A season to get the team playing with new tactics, defensive and attacking with new players given time to bed in and lead a strong challenge for title and champions league next season.

United missing Champions league and us performing well could see us moving into pot 2 and don't underestimate how much this would damage their profitability and ability to pull top players
i would take 2nd this year. but the question is if we'd be happy finishing above united, is it not? could not give a toss about them lot. somebody on here a few years ago still wanted spurs to beat united even though a united win would have helped US in the champions league race. why? because some people are obsessed with them. those people dont support city because they love city, they support city because they hate united.

I support City because I love City, I also hate United, surely I can do both?

Yeah I remember that, that attitude is wrong, City come first!
I think it's going to be tough season and although obviously I would love to win the league, there is also so much to lose if things don't go well.

I look at our fixtures second half of season and I'm sure if we don't get ahead of the pack we could be in grave danger at end of season of missing out on not only the title but the top 4.

From March onwards we play the following away games:

Sat 01 March 2014 15:00 GMT A Manchester Unitet
Sat 15 March 2014 15:00 GMT A Hull City
Sat 29 March 2014 15:00 GMT A Arsenal
Sat 12 April 2014 15:00 BST A Liverpool
Sat 26 April 2014 15:00 BST A Crystal Palace
Sat 03 May 2014 15:00 BST A Everton

of course! but you see what i mean - somebody in the concourse at wembley at the semi final asked me if stoke scored (when it was aguero) because they were playing united.

5 or 6 teams in with a chance this year, its gonna be top i cant wait.

I guess we have to just sit back and enjoy the ride, going to be a roll coaster season me thinks, I'm loving Champions league and being integral part of the top 4 last few seasons and dread to think about missing out.

If you'd rather see United fail than us succeed then you are obsessed and need to take a look at yourself.

They have played Swansea, Liverpool & Chelsea, we have played Newcastle, Cardiff & Hull. They have played 2 teams expected to feature in the top 8 places, we have played 3 teams expected to be in the relegation scrap....not really a cause for being "happy" IMO! Could not give a fuck about U****d, what City do matters to me!

This is the sort of thing that really gets my goat. Whenever I am on holiday or meet someone outside of Manchester and tell them that I'm a blue, the very first thing they say to me is summat about the Rags. This is because many people associate our hatred of the rags as the defining factor in our existance. And from the some of the numpties on here who only post about rags or turn every single thread on here into summat about the rags then can you blame this perception?

We have to evolve our own identity and push the rags out of our consciousness, and until every single one us learns to moves on, we cannot take responsibility for who we really are. It is our duty to think the rags out of existance and change history from this point onwards.

Would not be happy if we didnt win anything. Couldn't give a fuck what the rags do if we are winning things.

Agreed ......

and let's not forget that Pellegrini HAS to win trophies !

I'm a City fan not an anti-Un*ted fan, I want City to win everything and couldn't really give a toss what is going on in Stretford.

To say us winning nothing but them lot mid table is a good season is a bit pathetic really, bitter bertie or whatever they call us IMO, they can finish runners up from now to eternity for all I care, as long as we are top
