City are very close to a tipping point.

Depends on whether you count your Dad or not?

I don't pity the small people, I pay them small amounts of money to shine various objects of mine. Buffoons must work their way out of their poverty, £2 an hour is a great deal of money to thekm you know?

Lol, you do have a very dark side dont you Dam'?

-- Tue Apr 06, 2010 3:22 pm --

Here's a very positive post from DD -

For the first time in a long time, I believe we will finish fourth. Whilst, since the start of the season, I've always believed we had a squad to match most of the "Top Four", I've felt for a long time that the uncertainty in the camp would be our downfall.

In a season where we have changed managers and coaching staff, the rumours have been flying around about the future, we're had a load of new players to bed in and a fair few players unhappy at not being picked, for us to finish fourth would be a huge achievement. It would definitely be the most significant step since ADUG came in.

I'm still nervous and certainly not counting my chickens, but I've got a funny little feeling we're going to do it.In fact I've got a funny little feeling that the derby could be something special.

If we get fourth it will be a huge achievement by everyone at MCFC. In the face of all kinds of adversity, we will have delivered. Bans, births, bloodbaths, bitching, bastard refs, bad luck, the lot. And everything will go up a gear - the real stars will start to come. I actually believe that we will challenge for the title next year if we qualify. We're only a few players short and have the squad depth already.

Come on City, this is the time. This is an enormous few weeks for us all.

I think I like DD more today than ever before ;-)

You do all realise though that the arse twitching will only subside whilst the WC is on, because then we go into CL qualifiers!!

I love a bit of arse twitching with my football.

That's why I'm a Blue.

Fuck the sterile predictablity of Man United.

I want my sphincter muscle to be aching by the end of the game. Only then can you truly celebrate.

Lol, 0 - 5 at HT against Burnley and you we're still thinking we need a couple more?

My arse was twitching like mad on Saturday that they were going to call the game off in the second half!

Forcist?

*waves hand*

The Jedi are your friends. You love the Jedi.

Actually, I've never gotten that whole Jedi hand waving thing. If they are supposed to be the good guys, why do they use mind tricks to enslave somebody else to force them to think what they want them to think? Seems a bit 'baddie-ish' to me.

Do City still have a Chaplain? We should employ a Jedi one to do the half time team talks. "You will press the ball, you LOVE the ball, you WANT the ball", etc.

I'm sober, level headed and fully compus mentus.

I mention that because some may think I am over stating a few things, but I fully think City are close to a tipping point in the clubs recent history.

The end result will be a club that is more than successful.

The end product will be a self-sustaining, profitable, community based club which is also a world wide brand.

We will win trophies and yet be as proud of how important our youth development is - like Barcelona.

We will draw in bigger crowds than many currently imagine because it will be based on families and young fans more than it has ever been before.

We will be the affordable club, the pride of Europe for pricing and accessibility for those with disabilities.

And we will be stronger for it.

Our players will be more than encouraged to do charity work, it will run through the very core of the club. Players will re-engage with the public.

To sign on as a City player will be the most impressive part of any players career. In doing so you become one of a family which is above mere money and trophies (but they will come).

To be a City player will be the very best and players will want to join so that they can be part of something truly special.

In fact if you choose United or Real ahead of City people will say it was because of the money.

City will be providing football with a new image, an image of being greater for the experience not just wealthier.

There will be a new, beautifully proportioned stadium sat in a glittering development beyond the dreams of any other club.

There will be a new training camp second to none in the world with access for the fans.

And all of this will be based around the very best supporter experience from the stadium to the website and ticket office.

We will win silverware and celebrate each time we win another honour, but we wont take anything for granted, we wont gloat.

All of this will happen before our very eyes, we are the lucky ones.

Great post fbloke.
