City are very close to a tipping point.

Its not about a point, or 4th spot. Its about something much more than that.

City are about to change the way football IS and the way football WILL BE.

I have seen enough now to know that this club of ours is a few short years away from something amazing.

I have had the cataracts of City's past removed from my eyes and the blinkers of our self doubt take away and am seeing things clearly now.

I just wish you could see the view from here its pretty special ;-)

This is City we're talking about. "Cockups" is our middle name.. ;)

We are where we are, right here, right now..

Where we go from that we can´t know or even predict really.
But we know that the club is owned by people with visions so grand that only the amount of money they have at their disposal could make it come thru.
And they got an habit of getting what they want, three years ago the F1 circuit in Abu Dhabi was a pipedream, today it´s the gem of the F1 circus because they armed their visionaires with more money than we could imagine.

And every year sees even more money flowing into their hands, money that they will find a use for..somehow, somewhere.

We are the club that sends the most expensive purchase in British football history out on loan. He bad mouths us and why? Because he isnt good enough for us and doesnt fit the profile of City any more.

We are the club that has the most experienced and successful manager in British football rattled and calling us noisy neighbours. And thats before our owner and board have even got started on building a real sound system ;-)

We are the club who have had players shot at, cheated on and in intensive care with prem' babies and still do the business.

We are the club accused of bribing fans to attend matches even before the new, cheaper pricing is announced for next year.

Yeah we are City, we do things differently. We always have.

We are the club that set out to make Wembley look small.

We are the club that started a new way of engaging young fans with the Junior Blues.

We are the club let their fiercest rivals use our ground for peanuts by way of a favour.

And we are about to start a whole new way of doing things differently, but better.

Of all the stuff that may be coming our way in the future, by far and way the most exciting thing for me is the players we might get.

The first two posts, the OP and the immediate response sum up City Fans brilliantly...I love this Club.

Lol, and I am right.

I'm sober, level headed and fully compus mentus.

I mention that because some may think I am over stating a few things, but I fully think City are close to a tipping point in the clubs recent history.

The end result will be a club that is more than successful.

The end product will be a self-sustaining, profitable, community based club which is also a world wide brand.

We will win trophies and yet be as proud of how important our youth development is - like Barcelona.

We will draw in bigger crowds than many currently imagine because it will be based on families and young fans more than it has ever been before.

We will be the affordable club, the pride of Europe for pricing and accessibility for those with disabilities.

And we will be stronger for it.

Our players will be more than encouraged to do charity work, it will run through the very core of the club. Players will re-engage with the public.

To sign on as a City player will be the most impressive part of any players career. In doing so you become one of a family which is above mere money and trophies (but they will come).

To be a City player will be the very best and players will want to join so that they can be part of something truly special.

In fact if you choose United or Real ahead of City people will say it was because of the money.

City will be providing football with a new image, an image of being greater for the experience not just wealthier.

There will be a new, beautifully proportioned stadium sat in a glittering development beyond the dreams of any other club.

There will be a new training camp second to none in the world with access for the fans.

And all of this will be based around the very best supporter experience from the stadium to the website and ticket office.

We will win silverware and celebrate each time we win another honour, but we wont take anything for granted, we wont gloat.

All of this will happen before our very eyes, we are the lucky ones.

10 year plan.

we are not close to a tipping point. it will not suddenly become easy and straightforward.

we are one tiny step closer to the first serious goal. still 6 more steps, all much more difficult to take, just to get to that first checkpoint. from there it's even harder, you can bet there will be disappointments and hard times. look at this season. spending the money is supposed to make your life easier. well it doesn't feel like it's been easy at all, and I'm only a bloody supporter.

for example, my ideal starting point for next season would be to have secured fourth, to keep mancini, and signing, oh I dunno, say torres maicon, chiellini, de rossi, di maria. and then we'd expect be challenging for the title. but even if we got that, my god, how stressful the champs league qualifiers would be. how much pressure and disappointment there would be if our form dropped for a while. how embarrasing it would be if one or more big names flopped, or we lost to a weak team. how hard it would be to win enough games to keep up with the leaders, whilst bedding in new players.

every step forward just means you've got to take another, even harder step. and stumbling will hurt even more.

and the off the pitch stuff might be more straightforward and less stressful, but it will take years... not one or two, but ten or more. and you can bet there will be people who will put serious obstacles in our way.

The most empty words ever fbloke.

From the rumours going round the visions our owners have are fantastic and i can see how we can get there off the pitch.

It'd be nice rather than saying 'we're close to a tipping point/the views great/etc etc' How you think we're going to change football, why you think it, any evidence to back it up?

I'd love to work on the corporate side of MCFC right now, it must be one of the most pioneering, challenging and rewarding jobs in the world. With the future how we're plan it (the redevelopment) and the advancement of technology changing how people can support and follow a club from any part of the world, the oppourtunities are vast, and we have the resources capable of being at the forefront of the revolution.

I'm starting to understand why our owners bought us... the amount of money MCFC as a brand could bring in eventually is mind boggling.
