City & Arsenal and the Champs League Pots

This is how it stands:

POT 1
Bayern München
FC Barcelona
Chelsea
Real Madrid
Manchester United
Arsenal (practically through after winning 3-0 away to Fenerbahce)
FC Porto
Benfica

POT 2
Atlético Madrid
Shakhtar Donetsk
AC Milan (should manage to beat PSV at home after drawing 1-1 away)
Schalke 04* (in danger of going out to PAOK Salónika)
Olympique Marseille
CSKA Moscow
Paris Saint-Germain
Juventus

POT 3
Zenit St.Petersburg (practically through after winning 4-1 away to Paços)
Manchester City
Ajax
Borussia Dortmund
FC Basel (should go through after winning 4-2 away to Ludogorets)
Olympiakos Piraeus
Galatasaray
Bayer Leverkusen

POT 4
FC Kobenhavn
Napoli
Anderlecht
Celtic* (in danger of going out to Shakhtyor Karaganda)
Steaua Bucuresti* (in danger of going out to Legia Warsaw)
Viktoria Plzen (should go through against Maribor after winning 3-1 at home)
Real Sociedad (should go through after winning 2-0 away to Olympique Lyon)
Austria Wien (should go through after winning 2-0 away to Dinamo Zagreb)

Possible Changes to the Pots*
If Schalke lose to PAOK Salónika, then PAOK would go into Pot 4 and every team from Zenit St. Petersburg would move up one place).
If Celtic fail to overcome the 2 goal deficit, then Shakhtyor Karaganda would move into Pot 4).
If Steaua Bucuresti lose to Legia Warsaw, then Legia would move into Pot 4)

Excellent work. For me Pot 2 and pot 4 are going to be our main rivals looking at that list up there subject to the tv companies, and warmed balls the worst it could be would be PSG and Napoli again, plus Barca or RM. Lets keep away from the Germans.

There are some pretty tough rivals in all the pots.

Pot 1: for me, as I live in Spain (near the Portuguese border), Porto or Benfica would be really easy to get to, as would Madrid. Barcelona is on the other side of the country to me, but I could drive it in 7 or 8 hours or get a plane from Madrid.

Pot 2: Atlético Madrid would be great, especially as I have some good friends who are Atleti fans. Milan would be a good trip, and they're not as strong as they used to be. I wouldn't mind going back to Schalke again, but I don't fancy Marseille or Paris (nutters) or trips to Russia or the Ukraine.

Pot 4: Real Sociedad would be great for me (and a guaranteed fantastic trip to San Sebastián), but I don't really mind the majority of these teams. I had a great time in Napoli, but it can be a bit scary there.

BRING IT ON! Most teams will be hoping we're not in THEIR group, so why should we worry?

idel group for me would be
Benfica
Marseille
CITY
Celtic

good away days and they would all bring a good following to our place and make a cracking atmosphere. (Plus we might actually qualify from that group)!

How nice would it be for them tw&ts to get
Rags
PSG / Juve
Dortmund
Napoli

PSG is nailed on

I would think that this is extremely doubtful, as Mister Twatini will do his utmost to make sure that PSG get a favourable, easy, draw: something like Benfica, PSG, Olympiakos and FC Kobenhavn.

I just hope we get Benfica, Marseille and Anderlecht. I'd be delighted with that.

-- Thu Aug 22, 2013 11:57 am --

Yeah, but we all know it ain't gonna happen like this.

It could, just like we can have an easier ride too.

It will probably end up as :

Barcelona
PSG
Us
Napoli

Utd
CSKA Moscow
Olympiakos Piraeus
Austria Wien

Are psg in pot 2 because of how far they got last year? As I'm sure they haven't been regular in the cl.
