City back down on charging for disabled parking (P6)

The power of the people.

This is an example to be used in other issues that the club gets badly wrong.....Milan ticket prices, Istanbul shambles, North Stand arrangements.

It is said that you catch more bees with honey than vinegar.....but there are occasions when militant campaigns need to be used.

Aston Villa have doubled the price of some disabled matchday parking tickets in the latest blow to the pockets of supporters, according to a report.

And, outside the North Stand at Villa Park, the price of match day parking spaces for disabled supporters has been increased by 100 per cent, with costs reportedly rising from £190 to £380.

Imagine being the person in the boardroom who suggested this? It should have gotten as far as the other directors being shocked and telling the person who thought of it to fuck off.

That didn't happen though, the people we think are decent people in our club thought it was a good idea too.

Brilliant work from all those that organised the campaign (donation made) - BUT, yet again, for all the exceptional work of City Matters, OSCs, etc. - it proves that any 'fan' voice inside the corporate machine that is our club today, is simply totally absent - until they do something stupid. We shouldn't be needing to have to organise after they fuck up, we should be involved in decision relating to fans as they evolve inside the Club - that's why we need a proper Supporters Trust, which would have a right to engage under the government's new football governance plans.

But well done to all those who fought the good fight.
